12 Week Bumpdate

Baby at 11.4 weeks

Baby at 11.4 weeks

How Far Along?: 12.3 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: Four pounds – Christmas cookies might be contributing!

Maternity Clothes? Wearing some maternity jeans and lots of leggings. Most regular tops still fit.

Stretch Marks? Nope.

Sleep? Lots of tossing, turning, and getting up to tinkle.

Best Moment This Week? Seeing baby at our nuchal translucency ultrasound. Baby looks very healthy and was moving around SO much in there! Also, telling my close friends and family from my hometown that we’re expecting.

Movement?: Nope.

Food Cravings?:  I’m feeling so much better this week and just so happy to be able to each normal foods without gagging. I’m craving my Gram’s famous Christmas sugar cookies.

Anything making you queasy?: Still the occasional gag but so much better than the last few weeks.

Baby Bump?: After I eat there is a little bump. This is the first week that my hubby noticed it!

Gender Prediction?: Boy. Hubby is thinking girl.

Labor Signs?: No.

Belly Button In or Out?: In.

Wedding Rings on or off?: On.

Happy or Moody?: So happy! I’m feeling better and so thankful that I have the best Christmas present this year.

Miss Anything?: Holiday cocktails look delicious, but no serious cravings yet.

Looking forward to?: Welcoming 2015, the very long-awaited year of the baby!

11 Week Bumpdate

How Far Along?: 11.3 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: Three pounds

Maternity Clothes? I can still squeeze into some of my normal pants but they feel super uncomfortable. I’m rocking a lot of leggings and tunics right now. I have purchased some maternity jeans and a few tops. They are too big right now, but much more comfortable for relaxing in.

Stretch Marks? Nope, but lots of blue veins on my breasts.

Sleep? Lots of tossing and turning. My once favorite pillow feels awful. I’m hoping Santa brings me a pregnancy body pillow!

Best Moment This Week? Telling some extended family and close friends in person and via phone that we’re expecting.

Movement?: Nope, but feeling a little cramping and hoping it is just my uterus expanding.

Food Cravings?:  Fruit and still lots of junk food. Need to make healthy eating a second trimester priority!

Anything making you queasy?: I’m finally starting to feel relief from my nausea! YAY! I was feeling pretty rough from 7-11 weeks, but it has improved a lot in the past few days.

Baby Bump?: At night there is a tiny bump.

Gender Prediction?: Still thinking boy. Hubby says he has no clue. Lots of family and friends think girl.

Labor Signs?: No.

Belly Button In or Out?: In.

Wedding Rings on or off?: On.

Happy or Moody?: I’ve been a little short with hubby this week. Feeling a little stress with combatting exhaustion on top of lots of holiday get togethers and getting everything ready to travel. But mostly so very happy and thankful.

Miss Anything?: We visited a winery with friends this weekend and got an amazing tour of the cellar, including tastes from some of the barrels. I was a little bummed that I couldn’t join in!

Looking forward to?: Seeing baby again at our ultrasound tomorrow and celebrating Christmas for the first time as a family of three!

Very Naughty Blogger

I have been such a bad blogger these last few weeks! I have so much to say, but with feeling exhausted and sick and trying to prepare for the holidays, I’ve really neglected this outlet. My resolution for 2015 is to make this a priority!

A little update on where we are. I’m 11+3 weeks today and going in tomorrow for our nuchal translucency ultrasound. We graduated from our RE at 9 weeks and had our first appointment with our regular OB at 9+6 weeks. After some tense minutes, we were happy that the midwife found the heartbeat with the doppler – what an amazing sound to hear! Hoping for good news tomorrow.

10 Week Bumpdate

How Far Along?: 10.3 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: Still 1-2 pounds

Maternity Clothes? Maternity shopping is on my list this week! Things are getting a little uncomfortable, especially pants.

Stretch Marks? Nope.

Sleep? Not great.

Best Moment This Week? I can’t pick just one! Hearing baby’s heartbeat with the doppler at the OB and shopping with my mom for maternity clothes (and a few things for baby of course!) on our girls’ trip to NYC.

Movement?: Nope.

Food Cravings?:  Nothing is really tasting good this week. I’m eating a lot of cereal and yogurt.

Anything making you queasy?: The kitchen smells terrible to me. Just everything about it. Completely dread going in there. If I go more than two hours without eating I feel like death. In NYC I ordered a steak medium well and it came out bleeding. Almost vomited at the table!

Baby Bump?: Just looking like I ate a little too much.

Gender Prediction?: Still thinking boy, with no real reason behind it.

Labor Signs?: No.

Belly Button In or Out?: In.

Wedding Rings on or off?: On.

Happy or Moody?: Happy! The symptoms can get me down, but I just remember the long road to get there and I’m elated again.

Miss Anything?: Missing normal sleep. I have a feeling I’ll be saying that for the next 10 years though. 😉

Looking forward to?: Telling more family and friends over the holidays and the second trimester when my nausea (hopefully) lets up.

9 Week Bumpdate

Baby at 9 weeks

Baby at 9 weeks

How Far Along?: 9.3 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: One-two pounds, give or take.

Maternity Clothes?. Lots of leggings/tunics going on.

Stretch Marks? Nope.

Sleep? Struggle.

Best Moment This Week? Seeing our little gummy bear and graduating from our fertility clinic This is the first time he/she has resembled a human and it was very exciting to see! During the ultrasound the baby wiggled her/his arms and legs – my heart melted!

Movement?: Nope.

Food Cravings?:  Nausea is back with a vengeance. Ugh.

Anything making you queasy?: Pretty much everything.

Baby Bump?: Just bloat.

Gender Prediction?: Baby boy.

Labor Signs?: No.

Belly Button In or Out?: In.

Wedding Rings on or off?: On.

Happy or Moody?: Happy despite a lot of frustration over this nausea. I’m so hungry, but nothing sounds appealing.

Miss Anything?: My normal appetite.

Looking forward to?: Going to see a regular OB, just like a normal pregnant lady. Haven’t felt normal in quite a while!

8 Week Bumpdate

Baby at 7.4 weeks

Baby at 7.4 weeks

How Far Along?: 8.3 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: One-two pounds, give or take.

Maternity Clothes?. Already rocking the belly band so that I can still squeeze into my skinny jeans.

Stretch Marks? Nope, applying lotion liberally!

Sleep? Up until week 7 I was struggling to stay awake until 9pm and sleeping like a rock, but now I’m getting a bit restless and needing to pee multiple times. This week I’ve been able to stay up later but need a mid-day nap.

Best Moment This Week? Seeing baby again at our second ultrasound (after a spotting scare) and getting to spend Thanksgiving with both sides of the family.

Movement?: Not unless you count gas bubbles! 😉

Food Cravings?:  4-5 weeks I wanted to eat EVERYTHING, especially junk food. Week 6 was nausea week and I only felt ok on basics like crackers, cheese, toast, peanut butter, cereal, and soup. Just in time for Thanksgiving, my nausea waned and I’m back to wanting to eat everything in sight!

Anything making you queasy?: Week 6 everything made me queasy. The thought of red meat was so nasty! Feeling better now, but if I go more than two hours without eating I’m starving and feeling nauseous.

Baby Bump?: Just some baby/constipation bloat.

Gender Prediction?: I’ve had an inkling it’s a boy from the beginning. The grandmas are rooting for a girl since I have a brother and my husband has two brothers.

Labor Signs?: No.

Belly Button In or Out?: In.

Wedding Rings on or off?: On.

Happy or Moody?: HAPPY! Happiness definitely overshadows any hormonal moodiness.

Miss Anything?: Not at all! Well, I may have stared at a few glasses of wine longingly over Thanksgiving, but totally worth it.

Looking forward to?: Seeing baby again this week at our third ultrasound!

keep up if you can.
